Sharkbait Club

The Sharkbait Club recognises those who have swum 10 or more times over the life of the GMHBA Lorne Pier to Pub. A medal and T shirt is awarded after 10 swims and a further medal after 20 and 30 swims.

Swimmer history from 1996 on is captured in swimmer’s individual online accounts.

Sharkbait Club Priority

Sharkbait Club members have priority access to enter for the first 2 weeks that entries are open. They do not have to register for the ballot. If Sharkbait Club members do not enter in this period, they will have to join the waiting list.

Recognising Sharkbait Club Status

If you have swum as sharkbait in the past, then you do not have to do anything your account has sharkbait status and you are good to enter. This includes inductees from 2010.

If after November 1 you find that the entry system is asking you to enter the ballot, then the system doesn't know about your sharkbait status. Please email the swim administrator who can sort this out for you. swim_administrator@lornesurfclub.com.au

The first place to check if you are coming up for sharkbait is your account swim history. If you think that there might be entries missing then you can email swim_administrator@lornesurfclub.com.au or to find the count of your swims shark_bait@lornesurfclub.com.au

We will be listing all inductees for the 2012 swim in the 10, 20 and 30 year categories in the final newsletter that is sent to swimmer accounts. If you expect to gain sharkbait status in 2012 we urge you to check this list, and to contact us if your name is missing. We can't resolve these issues on the day of the swim
