Sharkbait Club

The Sharkbait Club is an arrangement recognising those who have swum 10 or more times over the life of the nib Lorne Pier to Pub. A medal and T shirt is awarded after 10 swims and a further medal after 20 swims.

Swimmer history from 2002 on is captured in swimmer’s individual online accounts and work is underway to bring earlier swims into this system.

Sharkbait Club Priority

Sharkbait Club members have priority access to enter for the first 2 weeks that entries are open. They do not have to register for the ballot. If Sharkbait Club members do not enter in this period, they will have to join the waiting list.

Recognising Sharkbait Club Status

Those Sharkbait Club members who were already members and swam in 2008 will have a valid account with username and password. They will be able to use this account with its priority access to enter swim during the first two weeks that entries are open.

Those Sharkbait club members who were awarded their medal after their swim in 2008 should ensure that their account details are up to date. Before entries open, a coupon will be emailed to all 2008 Sharkbait inductees. This coupon should then be entered into the account to convert it to a Sharkbait account with priority access.

Those Sharkbait Club members who did not swim in 2008 will not yet have an account with username and password. They should now create their own account at race.lornesurfclub.com.au. Once the account has been created then email the swim_administrator@lornesurfclub.com.au including the Sharkbait details. The swim administrator will check the account and convert it to a Sharkbait account with priority access.
