The Lorne 5000 5km Open Water Swim was a popular and growing alternative (or addition!) to the 1.2km Lorne Pier to Pub Swim, held on the morning of the Pier to Pub for around five years up to and including 2019.
Unfortunately due to the additional demands the event placed on several key areas during the very busy Pier to Pub day, we have ceased running the Lorne 5000 to focus on ensuring the Pier to Pub remains the world’s best open water swim.
If this changes and the event returns, we will provide plenty of notice to competitors. We hope all Lorne 5000 swimmers will join us for the 1.2km Lorne Pier to Pub swim every year as they did prior to establishing the Lorne 5000.
